Build Instructions

Clone the project

git clone ​https://github.com/marijakarapandzova/Medora.git

Create database

CREATE DATABASE medora;

Note: The database itself must be created manually. Schema and tables are created automatically by Flyway migrations and Hibernate when the backend starts.

Build and run the backend

mvn clean install
mvn spring-boot:run

Runs on http://localhost:8080

What happens automatically:

• Flyway applies versioned migrations from src/main/resources/db/migration/
• Hibernate creates/updates tables with ddl-auto=update

Build and run the frontend

cd frontend
npm install
npm start

Runs on http://localhost:3000
