Integrated Study Information Systems of the Next Generation

The Integrated Study Information Systems of the Next Generation (in short ISISng) is a long-term framework of development and scientific research projects geared towards innovative models of organization of teaching and research, and organization of knowledge and processes within the university environment.

This is mainly a research and development project but it is to be ready to be put in use at an educational institution. Several of the modules related to enrollments and exams have been in official use with 2000 students and 80 teaching staff.

There have been many prototypes and developments of the system since the beginning. The last iteration developed using Apache Tapestry and Hibernate, was agreed to be open-sourced by it's original authors in 2009 and is still published as such.
