The Study Information Systems of the Next Generation (in short SISng) is a long-term framework of development and scientific research projects aiming towards innovative organization models of educational institutions for continuous improvement of the research and teaching processes.

In 2009, the authors have agreed to open-source the main software system source-code and since then the development has continued in an open fashion.
