Description of activities performed:

Line of collaboration and initiative building

  • Translation of the ISIS project web-site in English - in progress: http://develop.finki.ukim.mk/projects/isis [RA1: vangel.ajanovski]
  • Only the area of research activities on the topic of self-adaptive systems has been investigated, a list of ~200 relevant publications has been created [RA2: vangel.ajanovski]
    • Presentation: "Software engineering self-adaptive web-based information systems - Current research topics" - Vangel Ajanovski - 02-09.09.2012 - Opatija, Croatia - Project Workshop "Software Engineering: Computer Science Education and Research Cooperation"
  • The Trac-based web system originally used for the preceding project "ISIS", was chosen as to be still suitable for the team organization in the new project [RA2: vangel.ajanovski]
  • The Trac instance was upgraded to latest version [RA2: vangel.ajanovski]
  • Additional modules are installed to better support navigation [RA2: vangel.ajanovski]
  • Initial contact was established with Kuali PR, before the start of this project. Next step is to establish a proper presentation of the results of the project in English in order to be able to discuss partnership with Kuali with the relevant sub-teams (as instructed by the PR).     • Student administration officer exam application status review [vangel.ajanovski, dragan.sahpaski: improved, rewritten and new functionality*]
    • Professors online view on student exam applications and grading [vangel.ajanovski: improved, rewritten and new functionality*]
    • Excel forms for semi-automated input of exam grades [vangel.ajanovski: new functionality]
  • Course enrollment process
    • improvement of functionalities and bugs on the course enrollment process [vangel.ajanovski]

*) Some features and original process was originally envisioned and implemented by students as part of the course Teamwork 2010/2011, but a rewrite and improvement of the most of the process had to be performed due to new requirements for FINKI. It is yet to be seen if these modifications are in line with the general vision of the project, due to introduction f unnecessary additional burden to the student and administration.
